Chigwell Primary School needed a complete refurbishment and remodelling after it had been left to depreciate due to financial difficulty. DAP was tasked with rejuvenating the school and transforming it into a contemporary academy. As well as a total refurbishment, the school needed new classrooms and teaching spaces, so an extension block was designed.
